Design Process

All projects are unique because they represent the desires and individual circumstances of you the client, commissioning the work for your site in its own unique location.

The process starts off with a meeting in your home or at the site of your project to discuss your ideas and requirements.

From your brief we look at the scope of the work. We provide a written fee proposal and design agreement which outlines your requirements and the different stages of your project.

1

Meeting

We hear what your ideas are and look at the site / house. From there we distinguish how to achieve what is required.

2

Ideas

We will create concept designs for the project, taking the ideas and presenting them as drawings.

3

Refining

Working with you, we refine the design by confirming materials and specific products required that will work best for your situation.

4

Detailing

We take the developed design and add further information from other consultants, forming more detailed drawings. This is the start of the process required for council consent.

5

Submitting

Our last step is to finalise all the documentation required and submit it to council along with the project designs. This will be your Building Consent, and if required, a Resource Consent.
